Howland Middle School Mission Statement

The Howland Middle School students are passing through a special yet critical period of time in their lives.  The middle school must be unique in order to assist the students in moving more effectively from the elementary environment to the high school experience. Howland Middle School will create and implement a school improvement plan that is conducive to a learning environment that is safe and provides students and teachers with the best educational climate to reach their full learning potential.  Issues that will be pertinent to the school improvement plan are: academic achievement, proficiency test passage, faculty morale, team building, staff development to include technology, positive student behavior, and a school climate that will provide a crisis plan for the safety of all.
