ALL ONE SHOWCASE

The Howland Local School District will once again host its ‘All One’ Student and Community Showcase on Thursday, May 12, 2022. The district’s students and staff, as well as members of the Howland community will unite for the common goal of celebrating what Howland students do and learn within the walls of the district’s schools each day.

The event will highlight the programs, activities, clubs and sports available to all Howland students.  Work from the district’s students and staff will be on display. In addition to the school displays, local township businesses, organizations and first responders will be on hand.  District staff will be conducting activities for children of all ages.  There will also be face painting, a bounce house, inflatable games, an obstacle course and a magician at the event. Howland High School’s jazz band will be providing entertainment throughout the evening. There will also be plenty of food to enjoy from local food vendors such as Chick- fil-A, Hidden Cafe, Mijavec’s, Vlahos Original Greek Gyros, Kona Ice and Pizza Works.  The event will also feature a "Sweets and Eats" cake walk!

During the All One Showcase, the district will announce the winner of its writing contest.  Earlier this school year, the district purchased a new Tiger mascot costume.  However, the Tiger does not have a name.  Students have been challenged to write a children’s story that details how the Tiger got its name.  The winner of the contest will be announced during the All One Showcase and the Tiger will be present to receive its new name.
