CLASS ASSIGNMENTS FOR 2012-2013
School personnel devote much time and give much thought to the best placement for each pupil. Many factors must be taken into consideration and assignments are based on the individual’s needs as well as the needs of their children.
Some criteria used for class assignment are as follows:
· Ability and performance
· Social and emotional development
· Learning disabilities
· Personalities of pupils and teachers
With the numerous factors involved, it is apparent why parental request for specific assignments are not feasible. This policy applies to North Road and H. C. Mines Intermediate Schools. If your child must be separated from another child, please send your request in writing to Mrs. Coleman before May 29, 2012. Classroom assignments cannot be changed at the beginning of the next school year. Thank you for your cooperation.
Problems
If you need to discuss any problem that has occurred in our building, please contact Mines between the hours of 8:00-4:00 p.m., please leave a message on our school phone or write your concern in a letter to us. All messages will be returned by the appropriate person: classroom teacher, guidance counselor, or principal. Thanks for your help with this matter.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Unless your child comes to school with a written note
to be picked up from school, we must send your child
on their regularly assigned bus.
