While in remote learning mode, all hybrid/remote students should follow the procedures outlined below to have their district-assigned Chromebooks repaired. Once students return to an onsite learning mode, they will resume established onsite repair procedures.

Chromebooks that are broken or fail to work properly must be returned to the Howland Technology Department for repairs. Before returning the Chromebook for service, you must complete this form: https://forms.gle/1iFF7UcMhNFEeNgn8.  After the form has been submitted, you will be contacted to arrange drop-off of the broken Chromebook for repair. Loaner Chromebooks may be issued to students when they leave their school-issued Chromebook for repair. When the repair has been completed, you will be contacted to arrange an exchange, if a loaner unit was issued. A student borrowing a Chromebook will be responsible for any damage to or loss of the loaned device. District-owned Chromebooks should never be taken to an outside computer service for any type of repairs or maintenance. Chromebook repair questions can be set to ta.support@howlandschools.org
