Howland Schools staff spent Monday, March 16, 2026, participating in professional development focused on strengthening instruction and supporting student success.
Topics included:
• Maintaining the culture of Capturing Kids’ Hearts across classrooms and the district
• Developing a district-wide AI policy and discussing how AI can be used as an educational tool
• K–12 departmental work on curriculum mapping and academic strategies
• K–12 intervention strategies aligned with current legislation
• Literacy planning aligned with state standards
• Test preparation and OLAC Teacher-Based Team meetings
Professional development days give our staff time to collaborate, plan and continue improving the learning experience for Howland students!
