We’re proud to see WKBN 27 News highlight one of our own, Howland High School sophomore Kellan Shipman!
Kellan’s story is one of determination, resilience and heart. Living with Spina bifida, he has never let anything hold him back, competing in sled hockey, adaptive baseball, soccer, swimming, and wheelchair track & field.
From setting records in shot put and racing events, to earning podium finishes at the OHSAA Para Swimming State Tournament, Kellan continues to push himself to be his very best.
Beyond athletics, he’s also making an impact through his creativity with Kellan’s Creations, and on stage in our school musicals!
As Kellan says: “I just try to inspire other people. I’m always pushing myself to be the best. I don’t let my disability stop me, and I find another way. I find another way, and I’m just trying to be the best version that I can.”
We can’t wait to see what he accomplishes next!
