English 12 students recently wrapped up an extensive interview project that challenged them to connect classroom learning with real-life stories and experiences. Students were responsible for setting up interview appointments, preparing thoughtful questions, gathering interview evidence, creating Google Slides presentations, printing reference pages, writing thank you cards, and presenting their findings to the class.
A few featured projects included:
• Wesley Fee interviewing his grandmother about his great-grandfather, Richard Kuszmaul
• Natalie Brom interviewing family friend Michael Sellers
• David Ozenghar interviewing his uncle, Donald Mullenax
The project gave students the opportunity to strengthen communication, research, presentation, and storytelling skills while preserving meaningful personal histories.
