Howland students Justin Keating and Sophia McGarritty recently participated in Law Day activities sponsored by the Trumbull County Bar Association.
The students shadowed Judge Robert J. Patton of the Eleventh District Court of Appeals and spent the morning observing oral arguments at the courthouse. Students also met Judge John Eklund and Judge Eugene Lucci during the visit.
A luncheon followed at DiLucia’s where Judge Robert J. Patton served as the keynote speaker and discussed this year’s Law Day theme, “Rule of Law and the American Dream.”
The Howland Mock Trial Team was also recognized during the luncheon as a winner of the Mock Trial Competition held earlier this year.
