Howland Local Schools’ Food Service Department is bringing locally grown apples to students through a purchasing cooperative partnership with Bauman Orchards in Rittman, Ohio.
Family-owned since 1929, Bauman Orchards supplies fresh, locally sourced apples in a variety of types. Students can enjoy different apple varieties as they become available.
The partnership gives Howland schools an opportunity to serve fresh, Ohio-grown produce while supporting a family-owned orchard.
