Dear Glen Families,

I’d like to share a few reminders to help keep our car line safe and running smoothly:

Morning Drop-Off: Our tardy bell rings at 9:20 AM (Howland Springs rings at 9:25 AM). If you enter the car line at or after 9:20, please park, walk your child to the main office entrance, and sign them in at the computer.

Unloading/Loading Zone: Please use the entire space between the unloading/loading signs. Students should exit/enter vehicles anywhere along this zone—not just by the stop sign or door. Waiting until you’re closer holds up the line and creates safety concerns.

Afternoon Pick-Up: Please do not pass the orange barriers or go around the chain until after 3:15 PM. Dismissal begins at approximately 3:35 PM.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping us keep students safe and the car line moving efficiently.

Kind regards,
Mr. Roth

SPORTS PASSES

Reminder, today is the day to get your “Pick-up Tags” (Rearview Mirror Tags).

EVERYONE needs a set of Pick-up Tags, regardless of your transportation situation. Even if you only use your tag once the entire school year, it is the fastest and safest way to pick up your student.

We will distribute the pick-up tag kits at Howland Springs Primary School (9500 Howland Springs Rd. SE) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Simply come to Howland Springs Primary School with your photo ID to pick up your kit. You will receive two rearview mirror tags, a matching book bag tag for each of your children, and a zip tie to secure the student tag to your child’s book bag.

If you have more than one child registered in Preschool to 4th Grade, all of the Family Car Tags will be distributed together at Springs. If you have tags left over from last year, please discard both the student and mirror tags as soon as possible.

If you have any questions, regardless of your child’s building, please contact us at Howland Springs Primary 330-856-8280.

Sincerely,

Carl Clark, Principal
Howland Springs Primary School

Second graders can meet their teacher from 4:00 to 5:00 PM, and first graders can meet their teacher from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. Due to the impending inclement weather tomorrow, our field day will be indoors. We will have two inflatable slides and it is recommended that students wear long pants, long sleeve shirt & socks to avoid any rashes from riding the slides multiple times. Socks are a must! Mr. Roth

Please take a look at our HLS Facebook page. We posted several videos of our large collection of lost & found items. Please have your student carefully select their lost item, as there are similar looking garments. All items not found by the last day of school will be donated.

Glen Parents, We have seen a surge in students bringing Pokémon cards to school to show their collections to their friends. This often leads to card trading and theft, and some of these cards have a high monetary value. Pokémon cards need to stay at home. Please speak to your student about not bringing Pokémon cards or any other personal belongings to school for trading. Thank you, Mr. Roth
