We just wanted to give you advanced notice in regards to the time changes. Thanks again!!
Kindergarten students at Howland Springs Primary learn phonics skills through a daily program called Fundations. The children work through several components of Language Arts, preparing them to be great readers.
Good Morning. Just a reminder that this Friday, November 1st, is the end of the first quarter. All students, including preschool, will be dismissed one hour earlier than their regular time. Also, on November 5th, there will be no school for students. Teachers, however, will attend professional development sessions designed to further improve our skills as educators.
Students and families at Howland Springs Primary gathered for an evening of fun and learning at our annual Family Literacy Night. Our teachers demonstrated some of the strategies they use to teach our children how to read and write. The students enjoyed various games connected to reading along with making a snack that they could share with their families.
Kindergarten and Preschool students at Howland Springs Primary enjoyed a fun morning with the Howland Fire Department and Zoo 2 Go. Howland Fire taught the children about fire safety and how they keep families safe. All of the students received a fire fighter helmet and a Fire Safety Coloring book. Zoo 2 Go brought in a variety of animals for the kids to see and pet. They enjoyed everything from a pony and alpacas to bunnies and goats.

Regardless where your preschool to fourth grade child attends, ALL of the tags will be distributed at HOWLAND SPRINGS PRIMARY. This will make it more efficient and safer in the event someone needs to pick up your child from school.
Looking forward to seeing everyone! It's going to be a great year!
We're excited to share our new electronic annual report calendar with you! Starting this school year, the calendar will no longer be shared in hardcopy form. Instead, we will be sending out a minimum of three printed newsletters per school year to keep you updated on the latest events and happenings in our schools.
Click here to view the 24-25 calendar: https://5il.co/2t22i
You can download the calendar and print it from home at your convenience. The best part of moving to an electronic format is that we can update the calendar throughout the year, ensuring it remains accurate and up-to-date for your quick access from the app or website.
We look forward to the start of a new school year!
