The Howland High School Drone Team will host a “Cruise-In” fundraiser on Saturday, May 2 as they prepare for national competition in Detroit on May 13–14.
Students are creating a themed video for the national event that connects the stages of drone development (design, manufacture, testing and racing) with how vehicle owners restore, maintain, and improve their cars. During the Cruise-In, students plan to interview vehicle owners and capture aerial footage using a DJI camera drone.
The full Robotics program will support the event with FIRST Robotics robot demonstrations, interactive robot games, and a concessions stand.
