Howland High School’s FCCLA recently visited our 4th graders at H.C. Mines Elementary School to lead lessons on character traits. The focus was on honesty! Thank you to Mrs. Stevens for her leadership and guidance with FCCLA!
On Friday morning, our Student Senate and Tiger Bean surprised every high school staff member with free coffee, a donut and a personalized note of gratitude after Thursday night’s conferences. Thank you to our students for showing such thoughtful appreciation!☕🍩💛

Students in Sarah Polk’s Spanish 1–2 classes recently completed a meaningful project that combined language learning with gratitude, culture and creativity. Each student chose a veteran meaningful to them and created a Spanish-language tribute including the veteran’s name, branch of service and years served. Many students added photos for a personal touch. The completed pages were displayed on the classroom door as a tribute to those who have served our country!

Students in Ashley Lipkovich’s class are supporting our local veterans! Thanks to a generous DonorsChoose project, the students put together care packages for local veterans. Each box is filled with heartfelt cards, personal hygiene items, snacks and other essentials to brighten their day. Mrs. Lipkovich will be delivering the boxes next week, and these photos perfectly capture the heart and teamwork behind the project!
