We are thrilled to announce that seniors Robin Hakimian and Theresa Cranston have been named finalists in the prestigious National Merit Scholarship Program! Last fall, Robin and Theresa were announced as semifinalists, joining a group of 16,000 high school seniors nationwide. Semifinalists qualify based on their exceptional performance on the PSAT/NMSQT, a distinction earned by only a fraction of the 50,000 students initially recognized. Howland High School students now have the chance to explore the legal system, sharpen critical thinking and compete in courtroom simulations! Led by teachers Amanda Daquelente and Thom Williams, the high school's new mock trial team argued their first case involving artificial intelligence at the Trumbull County Courthouse earlier this month.
