Good evening Howland Families.
We just received word of additional staff absences, and we need to transition our elementary buildings to full remote beginning tomorrow, Thursday, November 19, 2020, due to logistical issues securing substitute staff coverage in transportation, instruction and support services. We had hoped to get through the week with in-person learning for our younger children. However, it's no longer feasible at this juncture.
This remote learning model will remain in place for elementary, middle and high school students with a projected return date of November 30th. We will continue to closely monitor our staff and student quarantine numbers and cases over the break before confirming a return date for in-person hybrid learning.
We are currently assessing the status of our interscholastic activities programs and will follow up with our families as soon as we have had time to evaluate. Stay well and have a good evening.
Kevin Spicher
Superintendent
