Hello Glen families, Tomorrow is our Meet the Teacher Night at Howland Glen. 2nd grade will be 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM 1st grade be 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM Doors will open at 4:20 PM for 2nd grade only. When you arrive, please go straight to the gym, as I have about 10-15 minutes of information to go over before dismissing you to the classrooms. First grade families, please do not arrive before 5:20 PM and proceed straight to the gym to keep congestion to a minimum. Hello, Glen Families, and welcome to the 24-25 school year! This Friday, 8/23, we will distribute Pickup Tags from 10 AM to 6:00 PM for all PreK-4th families. ALL tags will be distributed at HOWLAND SPRINGS PRIMARY. Even if your child plans on riding the bus, please come to Howland Springs to get your Pickup Tags. This Friday afternoon, you will receive an email notifying you who your child's teacher is for the year. Your child's Final Forms information must be completed and up-to-date to receive this email. Meet the Teacher is Wed., Aug. 28, from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. for 1st grade and 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. for 2nd grade. Please bring your school supplies to Meet the Teacher Night.

Good Evening, Due to the rain and cool weather forecasted for tomorrow, we have made arrangements to move all field day activities indoors. Please have your student wear socks and athletic shoes, as there will be an inflatable obstacle course and other activities requiring a lot of movement. Also, this is a reminder that Thursday, May 30th, is our last day of school, and students will be released one hour early. Car riders will be dismissed starting at 2:35 instead of 3:35. Good evening, The school year is rapidly coming to an end, and I want to take a moment to remind everyone of a few expectations. First, when utilizing the car line for pickup, please stop and wait behind the double yellow line until 3:00 PM, as we often have students playing until then. Second, if your child will be a car rider or picked up early, please send a note with your child or call our main office no later than 2:30 PM. A Dojo message to your student's teacher is not an approved form of notification. Additionally, you must have your car tag displayed from your rearview mirror. Lastly, extra rewards and fun activities are planned for the rest of the school year, including Field Day! These "extras" are a privilege and can be lost due to poor behavior. Please remind your student(s) to be respectful to staff and fellow students, follow established rules, and make good choices no matter what other students are doing. Hello Glen Families, The second-grade students will take a short trip to H.C. Mines Elementary this Thursday, 5/16, to tour the building and meet the teachers. A permission slip was sent home today. Mrs. Dotson's 2nd grade class helped pick our hydroponic lettuce. Mrs. Campbell came by and helped pick some too! Everyone was shocked by how long the roots were!
