Good evening,
The school year is rapidly coming to an end, and I want to take a moment to remind everyone of a few expectations. First, when utilizing the car line for pickup, please stop and wait behind the double yellow line until 3:00 PM, as we often have students playing until then. Second, if your child will be a car rider or picked up early, please send a note with your child or call our main office no later than 2:30 PM. A Dojo message to your student's teacher is not an approved form of notification. Additionally, you must have your car tag displayed from your rearview mirror. Lastly, extra rewards and fun activities are planned for the rest of the school year, including Field Day! These "extras" are a privilege and can be lost due to poor behavior. Please remind your student(s) to be respectful to staff and fellow students, follow established rules, and make good choices no matter what other students are doing. We do not want any students to miss out on these memorable activities! Your cooperation and support is valued and appreciated!
Kind regards,
Mr. Roth

Hello Glen Families,
The second-grade students will take a short trip to H.C. Mines Elementary this Thursday, 5/16, to tour the building and meet the teachers. A permission slip was sent home today. Please fill it out and send it in with your child. If you do not wish your child to attend, please notify the school at 330-856-8275.
Kind regards,
Mr. Roth

We invite all Howland Schools families to join us tonight at the Roaring Future Festival, made possible by our sponsors: DeSalvo Construction, Lewis Construction, DG Perry, Knoth Family McDonald's and FlexStrut!
Thanks to their generosity, games and bounce houses are FREE for families this year! Just make sure to grab your FREE ticket from the booth outside the cafeteria before joining in the fun to keep things running smoothly.
Big shoutout to our other donors: TLC Insurance, Raising Cane's, Texas Roadhouse, Jennifer Harding - Mary Kay, Mission BBQ, 717 Credit Union and LTI.
And that's not all! Bring your cash and grab dinner or a snack at one of the food trucks: Wahaka Taco, Chick-fil-A, Mijavec's, Vlaho's Gyros, Auntie Anne's and Kona Ice.
We will also be hosting a cake walk for $2 per round, with all proceeds going to our school food pantry. #RoaringFutureFestival #HowlandTigers #FamilyFun #ProudPastRoaringFuture

Mrs. Dotson's 2nd grade class helped pick our hydroponic lettuce. Mrs. Campbell came by and helped pick some too! Everyone was shocked by how long the roots were!

Good Evening,
Please check your child’s tiger folder tomorrow, Tuesday, 3/12, for sign-up information for our free after-school program sponsored by the Howland schools PTO coming to Glen next week! Sign-ups will be on a first-come, first-served basis, with the first 25 students in each program accepted. Students may choose only one program to give more opportunities for students to participate in something. The choices will be art on Wednesdays or Karate on Thursdays. Accepted students will receive an email and a letter home with further details once capacity is reached. The programs will be held immediately after school on their respective days.
Kind Regards,
Mr. Roth

Our hydroponic-grown lettuce made its way to our lunch tables this week! The freshly picked lettuce was served alongside pizza! With hydroponic systems now in place across multiple schools, we're expanding our growing efforts to include kale and Swiss chard!

Glen families, I want to say thank you for supporting the staff and students at Howland Glen by generously supporting our Philadelphia Candy Fundraiser! When it comes to replenishing my Principal's Fund, I try not to ask for multiple donations throughout the school year. Instead, I prefer to keep the "asks" to a minimum and put "all of my eggs in one basket!" I am optimistic that I can continue this trend and make our third year of selling premium chocolates our best year yet! Again, I appreciate your generosity and support! Please remember that order forms are due tomorrow, 2/26, and we would appreciate one check made out to "Howland Local Schools" whenever possible.
Sincerely,
Mr. Roth
