Read-A-Thon is underway at Howland Intermediate! Monday was "kickoff" day and Tuesday was "twin" day! We appreciate all of the support from our families and friends!

Students at Howland Intermediate celebrated Exciting ELA day yesterday - they created idioms, had a stem activity making a Mexican Revolution Army Launcher, created yarn dolls, competed in some ELA trivia, and got to try out some foods that go along with their current text! It was a great day!!!!!!

Winter Break Reading Challenge on Team #5-1. Students read 200 minutes or more while they were off from school for the holidays and were treated to a hot chocolate party! Congratulations!

Members of the Howland Police Department took 10 of our students on a shopping trip during their annual Shop with a Cop event! Students stopped by Target and were treated to dinner at Salvatore's Pizza in the Eastwood Mall. We appreciate our school resource officers and school staff who helped make this a successful event!

Our 6th Grade Band Concert was on Wednesday, December 13th! Congratulations to Mrs. Penney and the 6th grade band students on a great performance!
5th grade students who completed their Thanksgiving Reading Challenge got to enjoy a pizza party lunch with Mrs. Messina!
Intermediate BUG (Bring Up Grade) Awards were given out today! Students that raised their most recent test score at least 10% points!
